People We Support

Mental Health:

We specialise in supporting people with a range mental health conditions.

Our focus is on supporting people who use our services to lead an active and  independent life, working toward recovery and community integration.

Through a process of person-centred support planning, we gently nurture  people to develop new skills of daily living and to manage their own mental health more effectively.

Our supported living services range from high intensity support within a supported  tenancy, to supporting individuals to live fully independently in their own homes within the community. We also support with budgeting and developing life skills.

Learning Difficulties:

We have a very successful track record in providing community based, 24 supported accommodation and Outreach support to people with a wide range of complex learning difficulties, including ASC and others.

Select Support Partnerships believe that individuals with a Learning Disability have the same right as other members of the community. It is our aim to work with each individual to help them  achieve the best quality of life. Embracing a social model of inclusion and integration, Select Support Partnerships supports service users to have a choice over their daily lives, and have a real chance to maximise their independence.

Fundamental to our methodology is partnership working, with the service user at the centre of the decision making process. A person centred approach is applied to all work carried out with service users, empowering them to play an active role in their communities, promoting self responsibility and enabling them to realise (their) potential. Having been part of the North West Social Care landscape for over 20 years, we have established links with a great number of local authorities throughout the region and beyond.

Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic Communities:

We have extensive experience of working with the BAME community and this is further reflected in our workforce.  We work with individuals and families where use of the English language is limited or is their second language. The multi-cultural nature of our workforce enables us to work very closely with individuals from a variety of  ethnic backgrounds.
