Job Purpose 

Through an organisational person centred approach to service delivery ensure that the services provided by the Company are managed and organised to ensure delivery of high quality, safe, sustainable, profitable services to meet the expectations and agreed outcomes of a wide range of clients with learning disabilities and/or mental health problems.  

Duties and Responsibilities    

Ensuring that services comply with all regulatory frameworks, statutory health and safety requirements and employee legislation.

Liaison with any inspection or compliance officers and responding to requests for information.

Completion of all relevant statutory returns as they relate to regulatory frameworks, contractual or health and safety requirements.

Delivering services in line with any contractual requirements and quality assurance frameworks.

Formulating responses and action plans in line with contractual or regulatory requirements.

Managing budgets and staffing resources in line with agreed targets.

Contributing to the development of, review and implementation of policy documents and procedural guidelines.

Keeping updated on best practice in social care provision and leading on implementation of service developments, improvements and regulatory requirements.

Providing professional input and guidance to the assessment, support planning and review processes and ensuring that they meet the objectives of the Company’s person centred approach to service delivery.

Working with services users, families, carers and other external partners and agencies in delivery of person centred services to achieve the best outcomes for the people we support.

Managing the provision of new residents including working with commissioners, service users, families and carers to establish support which is focused on meeting the aspirations and needs of the individuals.

Contributing to development of the Company Training Plan by identifying training and development needs relative to the service managed.

Providing staff training within areas of expertise.

Providing advice and guidance to staff in support of delivering the care within the agreed framework of policies, procedures and statutory guidelines and taking action where non compliance is identified.

Communicating with employees in line with the agreed framework.

Managing the performance of employees under your direct control and ensuring that all employees working in the residential setting participate in regular supervisions and performance review meetings.

Working with the HR Manager in recruiting new employees to the Company in line with recruitment and selection policies and the delivery of personalised services.

Managing any human resource issues that may arise in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Promoting a culture of openness and transparency and ensuring that the Company complies with its duties and responsibilities in respect of the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults.

Working with the Managing Director to develop and grow a sustainable and profitable business in line with the Company’s development and marketing strategy, vision and values.

Undertaking the duties and responsibilities associated with the role of a Registered Manager in accordance with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.

Must have had previous experience in a registered managers post and hold a

Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care.
