Autism and other Associated Conditions

We spend time to complete a detailed assessment of each person and look at their communication, social activities and what support is required day to day. We consider environmental factors too as part of the assessment, and ensure this is regularly reviewed. We build plans to enable people to live full lives as citizens in the community where they live.

Changes to routine can be hard for people with autism, and this can trigger feelings of anxiety. Our passionate and caring staff teams ensure a full understanding of people’s needs, including individual triggers and signs of escalating emotions.

People requiring culturally sensitive support

We have extensive experience of working with the BME community and this is also reflected in our workforce. We work with families where use of English is limited or is the second language and we are able to communicate in a wide range of languages. Our support staff understand the cultural differences that may impact on the care and support provided and we are able to achieve compatibility between service users and carers where delivery of culturally sensitive services are important.
